Coming Soon: “Valentines for Jesus”
Every year, our district’s awesome mission leaders are eager for information and resources to help them inform their churches about the “Valentines for Jesus” offering. Since this project is specific to our district, there are no resources provided by Global NMI. So, we create them! Thanks to Stephanie Miller and Harmon & Cindy Schmelzenbach, for videos at http://etnmi.org/resources/.
More are being added…check back by first of January.
This is a PERFECT year for us to have a project for PNG, on the Asia Pacific region, since the lessons in children’s missionary study book, “Kidz Passports to Missions” are all from Asia Pacific. The Papua New Guinea (PNG) lesson, pages 90-96, has a story, craft ideas, and activity pages.
One interesting fact about PNG: Pigs are important part of the PNG culture. They are considered signs of wealth in PNG. During kung gars, or pig festivals, up to 1,000 pigs are eaten!
PREP FOR VALENTINES FOR JESUS: BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR PIGGY BANKS FOR KIDS AT YOUR CHURCH!
