EARLY NEWSLETTER TO MAKE REPORTING EASIER + 2 GREAT ATTACHMENTS * 1 IMPORTANT PRAYER REQUEST

April 30 is Close of Church Year-All Pastors & NMI Presidents Reports are due by May 13.

This year, NMI forms have again been simplified, yet all information needed is included on report forms, found at http://etnmi.org/forms/

Information on NMI Presidents’ reports MUST accurately match Pastors’ reports…here’s the easiest, most accurate way for that to happen:

EmojiMake a paper copy of the report form by downloading this PDF form:  LOCAL NMI PRESIDENT’S REPORT 2023-24 so you can have your information at your fingertips when you do your report online.  Get offering information, & any other information needing input, from your pastor and/or church treasurer.  When you respond to “Deputation Offerings,” list offerings given at services, as well as any gifts you may have sent to missionaries online or by mail.

EmojiSelect “Easier” way to report, and type in your information.  Your report will automatically be sent in, and you will have a copy of it!

PRAY:   Please pray for our NMI Links Coordinator, Dot Reed.  Dot has had a mild stroke, caused by a 90+buildup of plaque in a carotid artery.  She is scheculded for surgery this Wednesday.

OPPORTUNITY!:  Meet Simon Jothi, Principal of SE Asia Nazarene Bible College
Please see his attached  biography with photo.

Thank you for praying for
Jesus Film Showing in
Elizabethton at State Line Drive In Theatr
What  a huge blessing it was for Jim & me to go to Elizabethton for the Jesus Film Showing which had been promoted by the church youth with their float in the Elizabethton Christmas parade!
When we arrived on the Saturday of the showing, we were met by a host of church members preparing 800 hot dogs to serve at Jesus film showing that night at the State Line Drive-in Theatre.

When our Elizabethton church asked other churches in town to pray with them for the Jesus Film showing, God led them not only to pray, but also to donate food and door prizes!  Beautiful bonds were formed between churches all over town because Elizabethton Nazarenes were obeying God!

God had challenged NMI president, Kristie Greene, pictured below with the church’s Easter Bunny, with a vision for showing the Jesus film to her town months before the showing.
Praise God, she accepted the challenge!
Elizabethton Church Easter Bunny  & helpers had been busy for days, blessing hospital & nursing home patients with treats from the church the week prior to Jesus Film showing!

It was just about “Go Time,” and Pastor Kenley Knight was ready to greet people & direct traffic, with scores of traffic helpers from the church, and from the local sheriff’s department.           When the church asked the theatre to show the film, they were told it would have to happen     the night before the regular season was to begin…the Saturday night before Easter!                            It couldn’t have been a more beautiful night, planned by God!

Over an hour before the film was to begin, cars were lined up down the highway, waiting to be admitted.  Seventy seven cars, filled with 208 people, came through the gate.
At the  conclusion of the film, not one car moved…the invitation to pray was given…
People moved to the front, close to the screen,
Prayer Leaders  from  Elizabethton  Church prayed  with people all over the parking lot…
What a beautiful scene! Many, especially young people, prayed to accept Christ.
CONTINUE PRAYING FOR GOD’D MOVING ON ELIZABETHTON, LED BY HIS CHURCH!

News from Chapman’s Chapel

For Valentines for Jesus this year, we decided to make & sell tumblers❤️ some of the kids helped fill the cups with valentine candy as an extra treat😊We ended up bringing in about $250 for them & everyone has enjoyed having a keepsake from monies raised 🥰
We are also changing things up with CCKs this year – I made a carnival game for kids to participate with each month by punching through the tissue paper to pull out 2 CCK items for everyone to focus on for the month.. & when we meet for missions service, everyone helps to place the items into the 2 gallon ziplocks to be ready to pack come June/July😊

JESUS FILM IN ELIZABETHTON
Continue praying for Jesus Film Showing, sponsored by Elizabethton Church of the Nazarene, at State Line Drive-in Theater  this Saturday night, March 30.

This week’s newsletter is early in order to share with you this post just Received from Nazarene Missions International:

Nazarene Missions International (NMI) is urgently calling the church to prayer for Haiti. The situation is volatile and requires the peace of Christ to settle on the nation. Wisdom is required for the political, economic, and social tragedy that is Haiti today. We pray not only for Nazarenes in Haiti and our churches at this time; we pray that the church will be a peaceful presence and that Nazarenes will be a part of the solution as God’s agents of grace.

Valentines for Jesus at Knoxville First, Engaging Kids in Missions with a Friendly Competition  “Knoxville 1st girls and boys went head-to-head in competition each week.  The went around with their plastic M&M tubes,  collecting quarters from members of the congregation, family members and family friends/colleagues.  The boys led the whole  month but, in the end, the girls squeezed past them with only a $2.84 difference between them.  Among the children that participated  there were five girls and nine boys for a total of 14 children.  The girls collected $200.19 and the boys collected    $197.35 for a total amount of $397.54.  The kids loved participating and were so excited to collect and bring in their quarters  each week and see the totals change.
We appreciated help from Breanne Merrill and the children’s department with the collection.”    Ina Corum
