Did you read NMI Central last week?
It  was about a district known for engaging Kids in Missions:

EAST TENNESSEE, USA REGION

I was recently  interviewed by Debra Voelker, USA/Canada Regional Director.

Debra asked me to share  about the  great E TN Kids Mission Jamboree, and how our district engages our kids in missions.  Last week’s NMI Central lesson was constructed from that interview.

If you missed it, you can find it in NMI Central Archives.

To see the past archive of NMI Central publications click here.
Select English;  when the list opens, scroll all the way to bottom of list, and click on East Tennessee, USA.
NMI Central is shared, in 4 different languages, with Nazarenes around the world…so E TN NMI  has received congratulations from the around the US and beyond.

Our favorite congratulatory emails about  being selected to represent the USA region in NMI Central came from our missionaries, Joshua & Katie Haun and  LINKS Missionaries Rusty & Diane Robbins.  Rusty is Jesus Film Coordinator for the Eurasia Region and Diane is the NMI coordinator for the Eurasia Region. Bulgaria, where our Hauns serve is also on the Eurasia Region.

Thank you for praying for
Jesus Film Showing in
Elizabethton at State Line Drive In Theatr
What  a huge blessing it was for Jim & me to go to Elizabethton for the Jesus Film Showing which had been promoted by the church youth with their float in the Elizabethton Christmas parade!
When we arrived on the Saturday of the showing, we were met by a host of church members preparing 800 hot dogs to serve at Jesus film showing that night at the State Line Drive-in Theatre.

When our Elizabethton church asked other churches in town to pray with them for the Jesus Film showing, God led them not only to pray, but also to donate food and door prizes!  Beautiful bonds were formed between churches all over town because Elizabethton Nazarenes were obeying God!

God had challenged NMI president, Kristie Greene, pictured below with the church’s Easter Bunny, with a vision for showing the Jesus film to her town months before the showing.
Praise God, she accepted the challenge!
Elizabethton Church Easter Bunny  & helpers had been busy for days, blessing hospital & nursing home patients with treats from the church the week prior to Jesus Film showing!

It was just about “Go Time,” and Pastor Kenley Knight was ready to greet people & direct traffic, with scores of traffic helpers from the church, and from the local sheriff’s department.           When the church asked the theatre to show the film, they were told it would have to happen     the night before the regular season was to begin…the Saturday night before Easter!                            It couldn’t have been a more beautiful night, planned by God!

Over an hour before the film was to begin, cars were lined up down the highway, waiting to be admitted.  Seventy seven cars, filled with 208 people, came through the gate.
At the  conclusion of the film, not one car moved…the invitation to pray was given…
People moved to the front, close to the screen,
Prayer Leaders  from  Elizabethton  Church prayed  with people all over the parking lot…
What a beautiful scene! Many, especially young people, prayed to accept Christ.
CONTINUE PRAYING FOR GOD’D MOVING ON ELIZABETHTON, LED BY HIS CHURCH!

News from Chapman’s Chapel

For Valentines for Jesus this year, we decided to make & sell tumblers❤️ some of the kids helped fill the cups with valentine candy as an extra treat😊We ended up bringing in about $250 for them & everyone has enjoyed having a keepsake from monies raised 🥰
We are also changing things up with CCKs this year – I made a carnival game for kids to participate with each month by punching through the tissue paper to pull out 2 CCK items for everyone to focus on for the month.. & when we meet for missions service, everyone helps to place the items into the 2 gallon ziplocks to be ready to pack come June/July😊

JESUS FILM IN ELIZABETHTON
Continue praying for Jesus Film Showing, sponsored by Elizabethton Church of the Nazarene, at State Line Drive-in Theater  this Saturday night, March 30.

May you have a blessed Resurrection Sunday!
