LENOIR CITY KIDS DECORATE COFFEE MUGS FOR “VALENTINES FOR JESUS”

Since Sweet Surrender Nazarene Coffee House became the home for the Ukrainian Refugee Center, Lenoir City Church NMI Valentines for Jesus director, Emily Cobb inspired Lenoir City kids to decorate coffee mugs in which to collect offering!

HILL TOP CHURCH INSPIRES WITH NMI CENTRAL POLAND LESSON, DELICIOUS POLISH FOOD!

I just wanted to share with you this morning about our February NMI Meeting last night. We used the NMI Central information on Poland and the NCM article about the Sweet Surrender Cafe as our lesson, preparing for our upcoming Valentines For Jesus Banquet this next Saturday. The information from both articles was so moving and an appropriate reminder that we may not all be able to go but we can pray and give, but the lesson brought out that there are times when God gives us a specific call when our hearts are open. We wanted to do a little something different to bring the Polish culture into the lesson so my husband Doug cooked us cabbage rolls after researching and seeing that this is a traditional polish dish. We had a wonderful lesson and a great time of fellowship and talking about the lesson at the end.

There are times when the lesson is a lesson and there are times when God moves and the lesson becomes so personal. I appreciate the folks I go to church with who support missions wholeheartedly! We are having our banquet on Feb. 11^th at 5:00 p.m. and will receive a (Valentines for Jesus) love offering at the end of it.
